Congratulations to Headwaters Services, our VCEDC August Business of the month!
Sean and Amy Thomason started Headwaters Services, a full service heating and cooling company, in 2022 to provide Vilas and Oneida County communities with a customer-focused Heating and Cooling company. Their goal is to provide exceptional experience, exceeding expectations and earning the trust of their customers. Each customer is unique and the solutions for their heating and cooling needs are unique too.
As a Veteran and family-owned and operated business, they strive to be a company that customers can trust and rely on. Sean served in the United States Air Force for six years and carries that mission to serve into his civilian life. After the Airforce, Sean completed his associate’s degree in industrial maintenance at Nicolet College, giving him a great understanding of mechanical systems in general.
Thomason states, “The heating and cooling industry is ever changing and it’s extremely important to stay up to date with the changes to ensure that our customers have a safe, properly operating system that they can rely on." Sean is constantly studying to learn the latest in HVAC technologies and gaining certifications as they become available. Sean and Amy employ a tech with electrical experience who continues to gain knowledge of the HVAC industry and an additional tech who has been in the industry for years.
There is no cookie-cutter approach as they personalize solutions for each customer. Headwaters Services offers trustworthy, reliable and affordable service and preventative maintenance. They service, repair, install, replace or add on equipment in existing homes and new construction.
Focusing on repeat customers, they contact customers for annual maintenance, scheduling appointments to ensure equipment is maintained and updated, avoiding an emergency.
Headwaters carries an inventory of universal parts. OEM parts are delivered the next day. Headwaters Services partners with various HVAC vendors which offer training for every season, including monthly webinars. Sean trains his techs in the field and in the shop.
Sean‘s wife Amy runs the office. With a degree in Accounting this helps prioritize family as she homeschools their two children. The entire Thomason family is part of a homeschool co-op in Rhinelander. Amy teaches art and is part of the co-op leadership team. In addition, they have a garden and raise chickens. Amy serves as the Volunteer Coordinator for NORTHWOODS Blizzard Blast. The Thomason family is always willing to lend a hand in the community.
