VCEDC Launches Fundraising Campaign

Annual Fundraising Campaign Announced to Support Business & Economic Growth

Eagle River, WI., November 2, 2020 . . . The Vilas County Economic Development Corporation (VCEDC) today announced the kick-off of its Annual Fundraising Campaign. Established in 2010, the VCEDC is a registered non-profit 501c3 with a mission to sustain current business and foster economic growth through new business, entrepreneurs and remote workers. The fundraising campaign will be held from November 2 through December 31, 2020.

According to VCEDC Board Chairman Jim Tuckwell, the VCEDC is valued and trusted and helps to ensure that Vilas County businesses, as well as new business, remain strong especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“For the past 10 years our volunteer working board of directors, together with our executive director, has been guiding Vilas County businesses and entrepreneurs in business planning, identifying financial resources/grants, and marketing/social media,” said Tuckwell. “Today, our top priorities include continuing to support local business during the pandemic, leading the County broadband initiative, and outreach to entrepreneurs, remote workers, and expanding businesses to demonstrate the advantages of bringing their businesses to Vilas County. We provide all of these services free of charge and therefore, the reason why fundraising is so vital to our success.”

There are two ways to make a donation, either with a personal check mailed to the Vilas County Economic Development Corporation, PO Box 1621, Eagle River, WI 54521 or new this year online at www.vilascountyedc.org/donate. Donations are tax-deductible.
