Annual Fundraising Campaign Announced to Support Economic Innovation

Eagle River, WI., October 27, 2021 . . . The Vilas County Economic Development Corporation (VCEDC) today announced the kick-off of its Annual Fundraising Campaign.  Established in 2010, the VCEDC is a registered non-profit 501c3 with a mission to sustain current business and foster economic growth through its leadership on broadband and by attracting expanding businesses, entrepreneurs and remote workers.  The fundraising campaign will be held from October 27 through December 31, 2021.

According to VCEDC Board Chairman Jim Tuckwell, the VCEDC is experiencing unprecedented results – results people are paying attention to.  “At the VCEDC, we’re putting Vilas County ‘on the map’ as ‘the premier place’ to live where you want to and enjoy a fulfilling career.  Whether it’s through our targeted outreach to entrepreneurs, remote workers and expanding businesses; statewide and Midwest public relations; broadband leadership or day-to-day business support, we’re the catalyst for economic innovation, making it easy for business to succeed and for what people are saying, that things are happening in Vilas County.”

The VCEDC is comprised of a Board of Directors and Executive Director who have led or have provided executive leadership roles in global, national and local organizations, providing business planning and leadership, financial guidance, broadband leadership, grant support, marketing/public relations and social media all at no charge. “Our annual fundraising campaign is vital to ensure that these services continue,” said Tuckwell. “We’re most grateful to our community. They come through for us each year,” he added.

There are two ways to make a tax-deductible donation, either with a personal check mailed to the Vilas County Economic Development Corporation, PO Box 1621, Eagle River, WI 54521 or  online at https://www.vilascountyedc.org/ .
